Dreams Come True

When I took this picture on Thursday night, I was taking it for my nephew so that he would have it to reflect on later in life. This picture has been taken SO MANY TIMES and it has caused quite a few traffic jams. What is the big deal guys? It is just a sign. When we got to the hotel on Thursday, I went to post something to Instagram and I scrolled past this picture and thought "How funny would that be? My dreams coming true after going to Disney" in relation to getting a spot in UCF's program. We were supposed to find out our admissions decision in two weeks (Halloween). I was fully prepared to diligently wait those two weeks and then find out what my immediate future had in store for me. I had even decided  that the blog post about the admission decision would be centered around this picture.

I woke up this morning to the sound of an email which I rushed to check because I was anxious. I saw that it was from UCF and opened it immediately. I saw the congratulations message and jumped out of my bed to bring it to my sister just to make sure that I wasn't dreaming. She read it and confirmed for me that I have been accepted in to UCF's Counselor Education Masters program for the Mental Health Counseling Track for Spring 2015.

Dreams do come true and in my case, they came true weeks in advance.

I Love Sleep

Really. It's fabulous. Starting this morning at 12:35am through today at 3:pm I was able to have a very nice visit with it. Now, I wasn't totally faithful to sleep.I originally did wake up at 10:30 because I was supposed to go have Suzy Tuesday with Catherine but upon waking up everything was a little off. I don't drink so I don't actually know what a hangover feels like but I imagine that what I felt like this morning comes pretty close. Dizziness, body aches, and a migraine were just wonderful friends to have over for a morning visit -__-

So I called Catherine and told her I couldn't come out to play today which made me sad. We were supposed to go do our nails so that her's were all pretty for her brother's wedding this weekend. Things happen though. Such is life. I know she will have a great time at the wedding and next week so when I see her in two Tuesdays. ALL THE STORIES.

Anyways, back to sleep. After I tried to feel better for like... 50 minutes I decided it was time to go back to visiting my good old friend sleep. Sleep must have appreciated this because I was granted with this really awesome dream where Hunter Hayes (DON'T ANY OF YOU JUDGE ME) and I were roommates and really good friends and hung out and went to school together and he would come kill bugs for me at 3 in the morning. It was awesome. And it was essentially my brain replacing my friend/roommate Brett Tyler with Hunter. Sorry Brett! Did I ever thank you for killing that bug?

The body aches did eventually go away around 4 which meant I had no excuse not to travel downstairs and watch last night's episode of Teen Wolf (I hate Malia.) and then work on uploading the video for work. It turned out really cute in my opinion. I hope we win!!

"The Child Hamster"

So, after trying on my new work costume, I was lucky enough to spend today with the beautiful Catherine and her boyfriend Alex as well as their furbabies. They collected me from the mall and then we went to a dog park here in Tampa so that their dog Penny could run around. Afterwards we dropped Penny off at home where Catherine also gave me some graduation presents!

One of them was this nifty little organizational calendar that I am sure is going to come in handy if I get accepted in to grad school so that is helpful. The other is pictures below and is one of a quite a few things that she has hand painted for me :)

We then went to Macaroni Grill which was delicious (consumed so much food; sooooo manyyyy carrrbbbsss) and where we may or may not have been charged due to a technical difficulty they were experiencing. While we were there, I put my purse on the floor and asked Catherine to make sure I didn't leave it. Alex then suggested that I "put it in the child hamster behind you" referring to the highchair. It was perfect.

Linner was followed by movies and video games at Catherine and Alex's apartment. Girl bonding is essential to life so I'm glad to have gotten to spend the day with her (and her furbabies) catching up!!

Today was also the day that Hunter Hayes' new album was available for download. Life is good.
