My Fortune's Told

This was in my fortune cookie today and I felt like it should be shared with the world. I really do believe in the idea that you have to do what you love. I love so many things be it music, make up, or writing and beyond but, even though I don't have much experience, I think my passion is going to lie in therapy. I want to help people work out their problems. I want to be part of the process of self-realization and self-acceptance. I want to able to walk someone through one of the hardest parts of your life and see them come out stronger and more capable than they were before. I cannot wait to start that roller coaster of a career.

Storyline challenge: talk about your day

This is actually a funny thing to be included for me because I do this everyday. Today was actually my day off and it would have been a good day to restart ab challenge but I didn't because I make bad life choices. Instead, I helped my sister out and then took a nap. Then I helped my sister out some ore. We were supposed to go do other things but she ended up leaving the kids with me. I could have gone to see Alexis today but I wasn't sure when I was going to be done with all of my errands and my phone didn't show me her phone calls until hours later. My eldest nephew really got on my brew today and I feel like that is probably related to being home for so long. Permanent kids are definitely not my forte.

100 Happy Days

"Clap along if you feeling like happiness is the truth" Happy - Pharell

If you're on Instagram or Facebook then you've probably seen the #100HappyDays tag that has been circulating through out your friends list or maybe you're participating in it.

I started my blog 100 days ago and probably before the tag existed. In those 100 days, I've experienced a plethora of exciting and new things while also being let down and feeling like I'll never be joyous again. I've had days were I felt on top of the world and I've had days where all hell broke loose. Did I have the hardest last three months imaginable? Absolutely not. Was I happy every single day? Absolutely not.

Although, I'm fairly certain that every blog post has had a silver lining message in it somewhere. That's all that matters. I was happy for a split second every single day when action X happened. Am I supposed to stop that now that I've reached 100 days? Does that just go away?

I don't think so. Happiness is what you make of it. You want to be happy? Be happy! Find the thing that makes you happy and spend three minutes of your day doing it. Find a happy thing. Be happy.

Start All Over

Again I am not positive that the quote above actually belongs to whom it is credited. However, I actually named the blog post before I picked any quotes and this one was already saved to my iPad and it fit and boom. Kismet.

Anyway, today I started over from yesterday's failure. I went to class, then to work, had a healthy lunch, had my foot evaluated, went to class, prepared for the GRE, and then made myself a steak dinner. Now my roommate did help me a little with the steak cooking process but I'm proud of my accomplishments. I was really productive today and it felt fantastic. I love feeling this way! I wish that I had this level of motivation much more often; I'd be proud of my self all the time if that was the case.

Hopefully starting over on such a good foot means that I won't have another failure anytime soon. I don't like failing. I'd rather be proactive and feeling positive about my self and life :)
