DRIVING BACK FROM TALLY WAS WORSE THAN DRIVING THERE!
On the positive side, I have Cracker Barrel Biscuits and I was hired (yesterday actually) as the nanny for the little girl and I start on Monday! I am so excited to be working with children again as well as getting to help the family!

This is a Hymn to the Garnet and the Gold
SHE DID IT!! BRANDI GRADUATED!!!MA DFGKSDJFGKLSDFHG
Two years ago I was in her shoes and I felt the exact same way she did today: content. Her and I are good friends because we're similar. We acknowledge that the Bachelors degree was an achievement but we also know that we have more to go. Graduating from Florida State was a good day for both of us and I am so excited that she finished! She worked so hard and she's come so far!
Driving to Tallahassee was not fun and I don't want to do it again any time soon but I did miss being in Tally. It was weird to see the city again. It looked so similar and yet so different! Until next time Tally!

Pretty Simple Day
I might have consumed a whole small pizza today and I might not be slightly angry with myself for it but I was hungry and it was over the course of seven hours. Things I am proud of though include how I set up the store this morning and driving my brother in law to Publix tonight.

I DROVE TODAY
AND I DIDN'T DIE!
It wasn't scary and I didn't hit anything. I did however realize that the entire right side doesn't exist while I am driving. At all. My sister had to keep telling me to go to the left so that I did not run into any trash cans due to not being able to see them. After about an hour of driving around the neighborhood I decided to stop and then get ready for work.
I was able to help train some of the new hires at work which as fun but it took so long.

Today's Permit Day
And it was a really long day. Aft a morning of pancake making and Just Dance- ing with Catherine, we headed to the permit test taking place which, even though it wasn't a DMV, gave me anxiety. I'm not an anxious person. Now before anyone says anything about the whole "you're 21 and just got your permit" thing, don't. It took so long because I don't really have a desire or a care to drive. It's not a thing that was ever on my radar. Things happened, time ran out, my mom was sick, my sister was pregnant, I hate the DMV more than most people, IB was stressful, I had no need to drive, I'm too laid back for my own good, I'm blind in one eye. Pick one and apply it as the reason it took so long.
After getting said permit though, Catherine and I went looking for Halloween costumes and brackets and something else that is escaping me right now.
I tried on the one above and one other one. Ill give hugs and props to the person who can guess whatthat costume was supposed to be. I didn't end up getting that one either, I got the other one. Now I just have to acquire fangs. Woo!
Catherine and I's very long day soon came to a close when I got a text from a manager to remind me about a coworkers birthday! So Catherine and piled back in the car and ran to Publix to gather the ingredient to make cupcakes! I didn't have a great piping bag for the pink icing but I'm impressed with how this cupcake came out!

Believe You Can

"You can do anything, just not everything"
Today was a long day. Work went from 8-2, I got to see Kayla from 2-630, and then I started watching the Teen Wolf season finale marathon when I came home while I finished the last few modules of my permit course.
However, that isn't solely why today was long. You see, days take much more of a toll when they make you feel completely incapable of doing anything. Like at work for instance, I had to fight the tears the feeling of failure brought on. I know I'm still learning but I dislike disappointing myself and the fact that I cannot do everything right and in a timely manner is disappointing to me. To make matters worse, I also failed another permit practice test which is even more frustrating. I've been reviewing all of these things for 6 years. Yes, I have only been really getting in to the little details of them for the past month but 6 YEARS of effort should not result in my passing only 2 out of 9 tests. I don't understand.
Luckily, Kayla and an email from Dr. Sullivan saying my goal statement was brilliant made today better. I am capable of doing things obviously, now it is just getting to do the things I NEED to do. Big plate of belief in one's self, table 12?

Lost and Found
While my Birth Certificate is still missing and is going to cost 50 dollars to replace, I FOUND MY GLASSES!! I also got my work schedule and I am working during my appointment so I need to either find someone to switch with me or I need to reschedule the appointment.
Finding my glasses was an adventure in its self though. I own two pairs and the pair I was looking for was not the pair my nephew and I found. I told him I was going to clean my room and he said "I want to help" because he's 6 and doesn't understand why my room looks the way it does. However, this was on the contingency that he gets to keep all the change he finds in my room. I've been paying Amanda and Brett that way for years, might as well right? We found my second set of glasses around 35 minutes into the excavation process that is cleaning my room. I have so many bags and boxes and containers that I keep things in it was a LITTTLLEE tricky but we succeeded! Afterwards he proceeded to go spelunking under my bed for change and found a charger cord I've been looking for since June!
Two steps down and three steps still to go but it is progress!

Changed Some Things
While the last two days were eerily similar, today has been a day all its own. It started with my sister waking me up in the middle of dream which means I can't remember what the dream even was. Then I was greeted with Starbucks so that I was awake enough to watch my nephew while my sister went to go get a hair cut. All was well until I noticed that my nephew (being the toddler that he is) had a poopy diaper.
Now, this poopy diaper wasn't your standard poopy diaper. Oh no. This diaper was the diaper from hell and had decided that, since the little one had not received a bath the night before, he was going to receive a bath today. There was baby all of this kid's back and tummy from where it had seeped out of the diaper. Way to go Pampers.
After I got him all cleaned up, my sister came home and decided to clean him again before he went to speech therapy and to pick up his big brother. I should have been working on my D.A.T.A. course but I elected to do laundry and shower before heading to work. Today was supposed to be my second day off for the week but I had a co-worker who was lovely enough to switch her shift tonight with mine from Tuesday so I worked 4-10 instead. It was an easy shift, I just wish more magic could have been made.
Once I got home all I wanted to do was detach my legs from my body and then crawl into my bed. however, that is not how tonight went. Instead, I called my cousin and received some information about possibly going to brunch with my grandmother. Afterwards Catherine and I briefly talked about birthday plans before I fell off the face of the planet while looking into permit/license stuff. My research led me to the conclusion that I needed to push back my appointment to take my test until I can find my birth certificate and my glasses. This reminds me that I need to have 100 dollars in 20's available for August the 26th which is when my appointment is now scheduled for. That give me two more weeks to finish my D.A.T.A. course, learn all the rules (I signed up for a class that should help with that today as well), find my birth certificate, find my glasses, and have my sister find two proof of residence papers and write a statement explaining as to why I live with her.
At least it is progress right?

July has Ended
"Do or do not, there is no try"- Yoda
For the first two weeks of August though, the big challenges are going to be getting on my recommenders to send in their recommendation letters and finishing my applications to both of my schools. I have also decided to schedule a DMV visit for the 11th to hopefully pass my driving test which means that I need to start really focusing on getting everything together. I meant to do this earlier on in the summer but time got away from me and I brushed it under the table. I can't keep doing this. I haven't decided what I am going to do for the rest of August but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
