Hey!! We Can Do It!

We started group today and we didn't die and we feel semi confident about how the next ten weeks are going to go!! YAYYYY!! Of course we refers to Ilysa and I and group means our group contact hours to pass practicum. My practicum sessions themselves were a little choppy but I think they went okay overall. Now I just have to make it through two days of conference and then HUNTER HHHAAAYYEEESSS AND DANIELLLEEEEE

Suzy Tuesday Reprise

It looks like I am again off on Tuesdays so Catherine and I were able to bring back our day from summer and make it so that we got too lend sometime together today! We were able to use my groupon for a Tampa staple called EATS American Grille! I think its really yummy and Catherine seems to be a big fan of their fish tacos which means you should also go if you live in the area. Then we headed home after searching for a Christmas music station and attempting to make it to the bank before it closed. Once home (and being the avid OUAT fans that we are), we decided to watch last Sunday's episode and it made me mad. Luckily, I had homemade popcorn ala Catherine to help!

Now, I know I swore off sweets for December but today my sister brought home pumpkin pie and because I only have it maybe twice a year I decided that 1 piece would not hurt me. I have not had any candy or chocolate or cookies or doughnuts or the like which is really what I am trying to wean myself off of for the spring. I'm not worried about my resolve falling and me going and buying a whole pie.

I ALSO FOUND A POLE STUDIO IN ORLANDO!! And it is near campus! I am so excited!

Extended Birthday Activities

So Catherine and I are not quite done celebrating my birthday and we are going to start celebrating her birthday when we finish celebrating mine! We are headed to Disney World on Wednesday to do all kinds of fun things which we will plan shortly before arriving!

After work I took the time and researched how much it would be for a stay on property. Shortly after I booked the hotel (IT WAS 27 DOLLARS A PERSON ARE yOU KIDDING ME) for Wednesday and then I continued to research all the discounts!! Other than that but of planning, I also planned t other trips to Orlando. One of them will be with Ilana because I've never gone with her. The other is more focused around the grad school living arrangements and working arrangements. Another castmember and I started talking about the perks and pro/conning everything. He thinks I should transfer to the parks which I understand but that would mean another 8 miles of driving. Tomorrow I am going to (hopefully) talk to Brett about some living options and then I continue to make choices from there. I want to have everything settled by December first.

ALSO! I had to miss out on a great deal from Ulta today because the stupid website refused to save my cart and to recognize my account information even though the link I was using for the deal was from an email they sent to the email address they were telling me was not on file.

Starting New Things

Now that I'm allowed to tell everyone, I'm a temp lead at work for the holiday season!! I was allowed to be the Stage Director for two hours today and while it was definitely stressful, I feel like I did an okay job! There is still so much to learn and be comfortable doing but I can definitely do it!

In grad school news, I am now having to accept the fact that I may have to put off attending school in spring. One of my recommenders left the university without ever submitting her letter of recommendation and now I have no way to contact her. The worst part is I found out about this only 18 days before applications are due because I had to wait until the school year started in order to be able to call her office. My next steps have been scrambling to find more recommenders before the September 15th deadline. In my search to do that I have also found out about opportunities I have if I enroll in grad school for the fall. These include a larger intake of students, a chance of receiving funds that are not loans, and it gives me more time to look at other schools. The more I go over all of this the more the fall option seems to stand out but what if I am wrong? What if my only option is this spring admission and if I don't take it, what do I do?

Good Eyeliner Day

Top liner can be a little intimidating for most people when it comes to line thickness, straightness, and matching. Times that by like... 1500 and you get what it is like when you're blind in one eye. I used to not be able to do it at all and I had to just use bottom eyeliner. Liquid liner (only Kat Von D Tattoo liner though) changed  all of that and now it is the only kind that I do. I still struggle with it though. Getting the flick just right, making the lines the same shape and thickness. I don't understand how makeup artists can do this.

Today in general was a good make up day but today's eyeliner was on point minus a little dot on my right lid. I had three co-workers compliment me on today's makeup look and I love when that happens. It doesn't *have* to happen though. I do make up for me and when I do my makeup I tend to walk out of the house feeling pretty fabulous. If only I could transfer that ability to everything that I do.

Side note: Birth Certificate has arrived and now all that is left is to reschedule (once again) and continue learning the material!

Of Some Importance

Let me just start by saying I do not consider my self to be a conservationist or an environmentalist. I do not identify with what my sister (who grew up in the 80's) calls a "granola" or a "crunchie," but there are some things that I think should be taken in to account by all humans. Will they? Of course not but I can do my best and that is all I can do.

For one thing, if you're going to waste water then waste it wisely. Even water parks waste water wisely by recycling it and putting it through a filtration process. Don't leave the faucet running when you're brushing your teeth or washing your face. You're one of those people who thinks everyone cares when your car is dirty and want to wash your car? Collect the water from your shower or from a days worth of washing your hands and use that! You could also use this for flushing your toilet. That how I had to flush mine for years because our toilet was broken, trust me it works.  If you must, ONLY water your lawn on your designated day and only if it needs it to keep living. I don't understand this country's obsession with lush green lawns if you don't use them for activities.

I bring this whole up because of the Ice Bucket Challenge. Yes I participated but I participated as wisely as possible. I also chose a cause I actually care about and that I am involved with instead of just being pressured into donating to a cause I know nothing about. I have a few grievances about this challenge as a whole but one of the big ones was the water that was being wasted. If 50 million dollars worth of donations has come in since who ever "started" (ripped the challenge off of Matt Lauer) the damn thing, imagine how many millions of gallons of water have been wasted by people who just fill it up from the sink and stand on their patio. If you're going to dump a bucket of water on your head, why not have it be water that you're going to use during your shower? Just wet yourself first using that bucket and then take your warm shower right after. You don't even have to go outside for that one Or water from your pool that you pour on your head whilst standing IN YOUR POOL? Add some ice and its cold. Woo. Or go to the beach, a lake, a river. Empty the cups of water that you fill up before you go to bed because you think you'll drink them in the middle of the night. AT LEAST stand in a section of your yard where the water that is inevitably going to hit the ground hits a part of the ground that BENEFITS from the water.

There are really simple ways of helping extend the water supply AND IT SAVES YOU MONEY. I bet if water droplets were shaped like dollar signs there would be an excess of drinking water.

In non rant news, HUNTER HAYES HAS A FALL TOUR AND A DATE IN JACKSONVILLE AND I'M GOING COME HELL OR HIGH WATER

So Much Excitement

For a Monday at least. I don't usually have Monday's off, normally its Tuesdays and I spend them with Catherine. Well, tomorrow I have to work so I originally planned to have Suzy Monday with Catherine. Kayla then informed me that she was coming to town so I planned on splitting the day between them. Unfortunately, due to plumbers showing up at my house, those plans changed. I was able to see Kayla today (so good to see her beautiful face and get to go on fun adventures with her) but Catherine and I's scheduled time was overwritten :(

NEVER FEAR!! Thursday will see the two of us reunited and next Tuesday we shall return to our regularly scheduled programming!

I was able to pick up some make-up tools today which is also exciting and I was able to catch up on Girl Meets World. OH!! And Hunter Hayes is back in the studio and we have a new video coming out next week!!!

The Storyline challenge for today is to talk about a life changing moment.  The first one that comes to mind is walking my horse out of the pasture, losing my footing and finding myself under him as he is also losing his footing. The saying about seeing your life flash before your eyes is somewhat true. You don't see your life like a movie or anything but you do see how quickly everything can be taken away. Or at least I did. Anyway, Casper did his best not to crush me. He knew I was there and he was legitimately worried about me. He was my best friend. Someone grabbed me obviously and then we pulled him to safety as well. I don't how long I hugged him for but it felt like hours. After everything was all said and done, I stopped looking at my ability to ride horses as a right and began looking at it like the privilege that it was.

Little Too Excited

After yesterday's adventure, I came home and passed out. This morning I was woken up by my nephew asking for food and I felt so bad because I was grumpy and I was not ready to get out of bed so I told him to go play and then fell back asleep. In my defense, my sister did the EXACT SAME THING to me when I was 4 or 5. Meh.

When I finally joined the land of the conscious around 12:30/ 1 o'clock I still did not want to "great stone dragon" around my house but I did crank up the Hunter Hayes (post-concert depression is hard ya'll) and started looking for apartment near UCF's campus. I'm absolutely in love with the small amount of campus that I saw and I have been in love with their program since the second time I read about it. I just want to pursue my degree somewhere that I feel comfortable enough to excel and I feel like this is where I need to be. The proximity to Disney and Universal is just a plus and is legitimately not the reason I want to go there.

So far I have come up with 12 different apartment options and they are definitely not cheap. I dislike the not cheap factor. In Tally, I found cheap apartments by the dozen. Orlando is a whole different ballgame. I can't imagine what Ohio is like.

This Is Happening

"Gonna wish I had a storm warning! I'm gonna wish I had a sign" -Storm Warning Hunter Hayes

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHKSRJFDIEHDIJRNLFI !!!!! I JUST GOT MY COFFEE HOUSE EXPERIENCE PACKAGE EARLY WHICH MEANS THAT I AM ALL SET TO MEET HUNTER HAYES ON MAY 31ST OH MY GOOSSSHHHHHH!!!!!

On another note, Brandi and I decide today to start choreographing our dance for a talent show we are participating in on campus!!! If you recognize the picture above then you can assume that the song is a Britney Spears song that Glee covers. We are really excited to present "Me Against the Music" next Saturday and hopefully raise a ton of money for charity!

In even further news, I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis and "allergies" so they gave me some nasal spray and told me to rest. Instead I danced and screamed. Go me.
